THE  MATCH  AND  THE  CANDLE

A certain day the match said to the candle:

─ I have the mission to light you.

─ Oh, no - answered, scared, the candle.  – If you  light me, my days will be counted.  Already plus nobody  will be able to see the beauty of my form and my color...

The match, then, confused, asked to the candle:  - You want to remain the rest of  your life, cold, stale  and without being lighted?

─ But to be lighted?  To burn ?  This aches and consumes my force, - the fear candle murmured, complaining of, full of fear.

─ You have reason - the match answered.  - But this is the mystery of your life and your noble mission.  You and I were called to be light.  What I can make as match is very little.  But, when passing my fire for you, I fulfill the direction of my life.  They had made me for this accurately:  to light the fire.

─ You are candle!   continued the match.  - Your mission is to iluminate, to radiate light.  While you consume yourself, your pain and your energy will changed into light and heat, and therefore we need you and we will not go, never, to forget you.  Other candles will take the light ahead, but if you to oppose, will die and will be forgotten.

The candle, in this instant of the colloquy, opened eyes e widely, pointing firmly with respect to wick, said to the match, still  with trembling voice: ─ I supplicate you that you light me!

And, taken care of the order, the pretty candle was consuming itself, happy, delivering its heart to the wonderful destination to distribute light and heat for  everybody,
